"My name is Tanatswa Masterla. I have written poems on Emotions, My Comfort and Dawn On Second Chances. I have chosen these poems because they offered solace to me in my most down times.
'Dawn of Second Chances' implies that despite all the challenges that we might face in our everyday lives and insecurities, We degrade ourselves each day because of colour and where we come from before another person degrades us. We tell ourselves we are not good enough before we even try. We let the mistakes of the past define our future. That is a grave mistake. Mistakes should be a ground for wisdom, the foundation of something great. We should always allow mistakes to mold our futures positively, never negatively."

"'My Comfort' is a poem I wrote when I could barely walk, I always stayed under the sun, be it eating or sleeping. For some reason, I established a bond with nature. I felt they understood my pain and they always stayed with me. In anyone's case their solace might not come from the sun specifically but their sun might be in human form, in animal form or in plant form. What matters is the Comfort they all offer you. How they make you feel loved and cherished to a point of dedicating hours to the one who loves and cherishes you most in tears and beauty."
In 'Emotions,' I let my thoughts loose. I wrote what I felt. I thought of suspending our feelings in the atmosphere and we would be number to all the hurt, the sadness. It pains to feel joy sometimes just as it does to feel sadness but learning to live with all these emotions is what is important and to never suppress or bottle them up.
